Alta Badia boasts a network of over 80 km of well-marked and beaten paths, perfect for winter trekking enthusiasts. Surrounded by the quiet of the snow, you can admire breathtaking landscapes and picturesque views. There are routes for all levels, from easy ones suitable for the whole family to more challenging trails exploring untouched corners. Not to be missed is definitely a moonlit excursion, accompanied by a local guide, with a final Ladin dinner.

We only mention some of the easiest ones, perfect also for beginners: the lake trail, the Ladin farms trail (Masi Ladini), or the path through the naturally snow-covered meadows of Armentarola.
Fun for everyone with tobogganing
How about a toboggan ride? It’s an activity that always brings fun moments for the whole family. There are two tracks in Alta Badia:
- Tru liösa Foram track starting from the Piz Sorega plateau and finishing in San Cassiano. The start is accessible by the namesake cable car. The 3 km descent is easy and suitable for all ages.
- Rit – Biei Trail: reachable on foot in about an hour from the center of La Val by following trail number 6 towards Lake Rit. This route, 1.8 km long, is also quite easy and suitable for families.
Cross-country skiing among sports and enchanted landscapes
If you’ve always wanted to try cross-country skiing, the Armentarola center offers 26 km of trails immersed in a fairy-tale landscape. There are 8 different difficulty levels, from complete beginners to more experienced skiers, to do sports while admiring all the beauty of the surrounding landscape.

Love pirouetting on ice? The Corvara Ice Rink is the perfect place to spend carefree and cheerful moments, whether as a couple, with friends, or family. During the winter months, the enchanting Sompunt Lake transforms into a natural ice rink, offering a unique experience in a fairy-tale winter landscape. Here, surrounded by breathtaking nature, you can enjoy ice skating or curling, available both during the day and in the evening.
Indoor climbing gym for vertical challenges in tota safety
